MENTORS
Mentors are the heart of Bethany Housing Ministries and necessary to fulfill
our mission. Mentors volunteer in assisting and encouraging the families
in our program. They meet on a regular basis with the families, help families
define short and long term goals and help them work toward those goals.
Mentors and families have supportive services from Bethany Housing Ministries
and partner agencies to help families successfully transition toward permanent
housing.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers assist in providing leadership and expertise, fund raising
events, the Mentoring program, and improvement of our facility. They serve
on our Executive Board and Family Committee, a program advisory committee
of the Board. They help in the maintenance of our housing.

CAN'T VOLUNTEER, BUT STILL WANT TO HELP?
CONTRIBUTE NEEDED FUNDS
The modest rent charged to our families does not adequately cover the
cost of utilities, maintenance, and upkeep on the rental properties (plus
bad debt for nonpayment of rent) nor the full cost of support services
offered to program participants. Rental income typically covers 60% of
the expenses, resulting in a financial shortfall of approximately $2,500
per unit per year or $40,000 for all 16 units. The benefit of your gift
will be to help a family return to financial self-sufficiency as well
as making an investment in the overall economic stability of the core
city of Muskegon by investing in the maintenance and upkeep of a Bethany
Housing Ministries property. Bethany Housing Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization.
Gifts should be sent to:

Establish a Planned Gift: Opportunities to ensure
that programs of education and advocacy will contribute to the next generation
are available through gifts of stocks, bonds, real estate, annuities,
life insurance, wills, and trusts.
